The 2026/27 Ghana Women's Premier League (WPL) season will begin later this month, with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) confirming the dates for the upcoming campaign. The new season is scheduled to kick off across the Northern and Southern Zones from October 23 to 26, 2026, as 20 clubs begin their pursuit of the league title.

The participating teams have been divided equally between the two zones, with 10 clubs competing in each zone. The regular season will run until April 9-12, 2027, when the zonal competitions are expected to conclude.

Ampem Darkoa will enter the new campaign as defending champions after a successful 2025/26 season. The champions, however, face competition from several established sides, including Hasaacas Ladies, who will be looking to reclaim the league crown.

The upcoming season is also expected to receive significant commercial support, with Gold Fields and KFC backing the competition alongside other partners, including Nasco Electronics, Melcom, Decathlon, Goil and STC. The confirmed dates give clubs additional time to finalise their preparations ahead of the opening weekend, while players and supporters will be looking forward to another competitive season in the country's top-flight women's football competition.
