Aston Villa star Nicolas Jackson appears to have ambitions of scoring a hat-trick in the next Champions League game following his side's latest outing. Aston Villa secured their biggest win in the European competition yesterday.

A 6-0 victory is a record in its own right in the club's history. One of the stars in that game was their frontman, Nicolas Jackson.

The Senegalese international, who was initially deemed unsuitable for the Lions last summer, shared his thoughts after the match, as reported byavfc. The second day of the Champions League, and we were very happy to get the win and clean sheet.

"I'm just playing, trying to score every game and winning and helping the team. Playing for the manager as well is very important, and (I'm) just trying to win games and focus on the pitch, that's the most important for me.

The most important that we win, and hopefully next time I will get the hat-trick!" Nicolas Jackson and UCL goals As a prolific forward who is expected to score goals and help his current side consistently deliver positive results this campaign, Jackson has already netted three times in two Champions League games this season. Overall, the 25-year-old forward has scored six goals in total in the competition.

He had never played in the Champions League for Chelsea or Villarreal back then, and during his time at Bayern, he managed to bag only three goals and two assists. They were all registered last season.

Jackson scored against Pafos, Club Brugge and Atalanta. Since he was only Harry Kane's deputy at Die Roten, he could not help wanting to score more, even a hat-trick in the last outing.

He had a chance to notch his third goal as Villa were awarded a penalty, but it was Ross Barkley who took it instead. Unai Emery explained the decision when answering questions from the press.

It was the team's decision, as the former Chelsea and Everton man has the best record from the penalty spot. Yet, the Spanish boss said that he was open to giving the next penalties to Jackson.
