Aston Villa vs Brentford LIVE - Confirmed starting lineups & pre-match updates for Premier League 2026-27 clash

Aston Villa will host Brentford in a Matchday 6 fixture in the Premier League 2026-27 at Villa Park on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The two teams have made contrasting starts to their new league campaign, so fans can expect an intensely contested fixture in Birmingham this evening.

Aston Villa 's four-match winless run, which included three defeats, was ended by an entertaining 3-2 win away at Tottenham Hotspur. Unai Emery's men have seen a slight uptick in form, winning three of their four matches across all competitions, and the Basque coach will hope that his side can bring this form into the league.

The hosts are currently in 16th place in the league table, and a win tonight will provisionally take them to 11th place. However, they will face a tough test against Brentford, who have been nothing short of scintillating in the league so far.

The Bees remain unbeaten in their five matches so far, winning two and drawing three. After opening their campaign with a stunning 3-0 win against Tottenham, Keith Andrews' side secured three draws before following this up with a 3-0 win over Chelsea in their last outing.

The visitors have remained unbeaten in their last nine games across all competitions, scoring at least twice in five of those matches. They will enter tonight's fixture as the favourites, and a win will take them into the top three.

Players to Watch Johan Manzambi (Aston Villa) Manzambi, who signed for Aston Villa in the summer, has been one of the few bright spots in what has been a miserable start for Emery's team. The Swiss midfielder has been a regular presence in the middle of the park, controlling the tempo of the game.

He will be key in breaking down the stubborn Brentford defensive line. Kevin Schade (Brentford) Schade has made a superb start to the new campaign for the West London club.

The German winger has scored three league goals so far, including twice in the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth. He had a relatively quiet outing while on international duty and will hope to return to his best on his return to the Premier League against Aston Villa.
