Ampem Darkoa Ladies opened their 2026 CAF Women's Champions League campaign in style, thrashing Mali's USFAS Bamako 5-1 in their Group B encounter. The Ghanaian champions showed great character to bounce back after falling behind early in the game, with Angelina Yeboah leading the charge with a brace.

Patricia Agyei, Beline Nyarko and Nancy Amoh also got on the scoresheet to complete the convincing victory. USFAS Bamako took the lead in the 10th minute through Oumou Koné, but Ampem Darkoa gradually took control and restored parity in the 27th minute.

Yeboah finished off a pass from Amoh to bring the Ghanaian side back into the contest. Ampem completed the turnaround just three minutes later when Patricia Agyei found the net in the 30th minute to give her side a 2-1 advantage.

Nancy Amoh appeared to have extended the lead in the 55th minute, but her effort was ruled out for offside. The Ghanaian side continued to press and were rewarded in the 78th minute when Yeboah scored her second of the afternoon.

Beline Nyarko added a fourth goal four minutes later before Amoh put the finishing touch on the performance with a stoppage-time strike in the fourth minute of added time. The 5-1 victory gives Ampem Darkoa an excellent start to their Group B campaign as they look to secure a place in the semi-finals.
