Champions League: Inter win comfortably in Feyenoord

Inter Milan bounced back from their derby defeat with a comfortable Champions League victory over Feyenoord. Inter's unbeaten start to the Serie A season came to an end at the San Siro on Saturday as they fell to a 3-1 defeat by neighbours AC Milan.
But, after claiming just three points in their opening three Champions League matches, the Italian champions got back on track with an assured victory at Stadion Feijenoord. Played in by Spence, Yann Bisseck put the visitors in front inside eight minutes with a sublime curling finish from the edge of the box.
Pio Esposito doubled the lead in the 34th minute when he pounced on Spence's deflected strike and headed home from close range. Poland midfielder Piotr Zielinski added the third after darting across Feyenoord's box and bending a brilliant strike beyond Tjark Ernst.
Esposito thought he had scored his second of the evening when he tapped in from six yards, but it was quickly ruled out for offside. Spence, who played a starring role in England's run to the World Cup semi-finals, left Tottenham for Inter in August and his side are 14th in the league phase table on six points.
By sitting 30th in the standings on three points after four games, Feyenoord face a battle to qualify for the play-offs. The Dutch side welcome Porto in their next Champions League outing on Tuesday, 24 November, while Inter host Stuttgart the following day.
