Colombe Land in Dakar for Teungueth Champions League Battle

com-Cameroon Cameroon champions Colombe du Dja et Lobo have landed in Dakar ahead of Sunday's CAF Champions League second preliminary round first-leg clash against Senegalese champions Teungueth FC. The Sangmélima-based side arrived in the Senegalese capital on Thursday, October 15, as Richard Towa's men stepped up preparations for the October 18 encounter at the Léopold Sédar Senghor Stadium.

Colombe will be seeking a positive result away from home before the return leg in Cameroon on October 25. Colombe enter the tie with valuable continental experience after surviving a difficult first preliminary round against Stade Malien.

Neither side could find the net across the two legs, forcing the tie into a penalty shootout, where the Cameroonian champions prevailed 4-3 to book their place in the second round. The champions have strengthened their squad for another continental campaign, with Jean-Hugues Eyango Priso returning from Austria and signing a two-year contract.

Defender Thierry Aloukou has also returned after two seasons with Coton Sport, while former AS FAP forward Kevin Ndzana Mvondo has joined the squad on a two-year deal. Eyango Priso could be particularly important in Dakar after demonstrating his attacking quality during the domestic campaign.

Captain Randy Ntuwe Kwalar remains another key figure for Towa, having played a major role in Colombe's successful title defence. The club will need its experienced players to deliver against a Teungueth side that also progressed from the opening round without conceding.

For Colombe, the mission in Dakar is clear: secure a result that keeps qualification firmly within reach. The Cameroonian champions are chasing a place in the CAF Champions League group stage and know that another disciplined performance away from home could put them in a strong position for the decisive return leg in Cameroon.
