Corpay strengthens Premier League presence with Newcastle United partnership

Newcastle United have strengthened their commercial portfolio with a multi-year global partnership with Corpay Cross-Border, naming the corporate payments provider their official FX and cross-border payments partner. The agreement will provide the Premier League club with foreign exchange risk management and international payment solutions to support its growing global operations.

Under the agreement, Corpay Cross-Border will help Newcastle manage currency exposure arising from its day-to-day business activities, while its global payments platform will enable the club to coordinate international transactions through a single point of access. Commenting on the partnership, Newcastle United's Chief Revenue Officer, Dave O'Connor, said,"We are delighted to welcome Corpay to our growing portfolio of industry-leading partners.

As we continue to scale Newcastle United as a high-performance international business, Corpay will play a key role in supporting our global operations. Their expertise in cross-border payments and foreign exchange will help us operate more efficiently across markets, providing the financial infrastructure needed to deliver our long-term vision.

Brad Loder, Chief Marketing Officer, Corpay Cross-Border Solutions, added,"We're thrilled to be named the Official FX and Cross-Border Payments Partner of Newcastle United, one of the Premier League's most iconic and ambitious clubs. This partnership further strengthens Corpay's position as the trusted corporate payments and currency risk management provider of choice across the Premier League.

We look forward to supporting the club throughout what promises to be an exciting season, both on and off the pitch. The agreement adds to Corpay's expanding presence in global sport. Its existing partnerships include Formula E, the National Hockey League (NHL), SailGP, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and World Athletics.

The company's football portfolio includes West Ham United, Major League Soccer (MLS), Everton FC, Manchester City, AC Milan and Aston Villa. Corpay's Cross-Border platform supports payments in more than 145 currencies across over 200 countries, positioning the company to serve organisations operating across multiple markets.

The announcement comes as Newcastle navigate a demanding 2026-27 campaign. The club lost 1-0 at home to Aston Villa on October 17, following a 4-1 defeat away to Coventry City on October 13.

Newcastle were 12th in the Premier League standings after seven league matches, according to the competition's published standings. Newcastle's next fixture is an away league encounter against Crystal Palace on October 25, followed by a League Cup tie away to Everton on October 29.

They will then host Everton in the Premier League on November 2.
