Coventry City vs Newcastle United LIVE - Confirmed starting lineups & pre-match updates for Premier League 2026-27 clash

Coventry City will take on Newcastle United at the Coventry Building Society Arena in a Matchday 6 fixture of the Premier League 2026-27. The Sky Blues are seeking their second win of the season, having beaten Nottingham Forest in their previous outing.

A historic goal from Jay Dasilva ended Coventry City's 25-year wait for a Premier League win. It also ended a rotten run of four back-to-back losses for Frank Lampard's side.

Now, the onus will be on the relegation-threatened side to secure three more points and move out of the bottom three. Newcastle United also arrive in mixed form.

The Magpies secured a 2-1 win against Hull City in their previous outing, powered by early goals from Joseph Willock and Lewis Hall. The Tyneside club have now won two of their last four league games, sitting in 11th place with eight points.

The visitors boast a seven-game winning streak against Coventry, with the Sky Blues' last win coming in 1999. Jaissle's men will be the favourites once again for tonight's clash.

Players to Watch Jay Dasilva (Coventry City) Jay Dasilva put in a Player of the Match performance during Coventry City's historic win against Nottingham Forest, scoring the winning goal in the 55th minute. He has been terrific down the left flank for the Sky Blues and will be key once again against the Magpies' full-backs.

Anthony Elanga (Newcastle United) Newcastle United's Anthony Elanga has been a player reborn this season, with the Swedish winger scoring twice in the league so far. He has been supremely impressive down the left flank under Matthias Jaissle, and the German head coach will hope that he can put in a similar performance tonight.
