The French electric wheelchair football team won its third consecutive World Cup, after its coronations in 2017 and 2023. The Blues won a thrilling final against England (2-1 after extra time), in Buenos Aires, Argentina, thanks to goals from Mohamed Ghelami and Tristan Le Beller.

Beaten by the English (3-1) when they entered the fray, the French were able to re-mobilize to seek a historic title. With this third world crown, David Vergé's men become the first nation to achieve such a hat-trick in the discipline.

The coach, who led the Blues during their three coronations, announced his departure at the top. "It's a collective victory and that's what makes us even more proud"he savored, after having praised the commitment of the players, the staff and the entire management.
