Frosinone coach Alvini: 'I believe football is entertainment, but focus is on safety first'

'I believe that football is entertainment' and his focus remains on Serie A safety. This team is making history, as with 17 points in nine rounds, it is the best ever start to the season for a team promoted from Serie B, on a par with Juventus on their return from Calciopoli in 2007/08.

The victory this evening never seemed in doubt against an injury-ravaged Lecce, but the 5-1 result was no fluke. Frosinone are one of the most prolific teams in Serie A with 22 goals in nine games, behind only Roma on 23 and Inter with 25.

That is a record all their own, as no other newly-promoted side had scored this many goals after nine Serie A rounds. They scored 13 goals in the last three games alone, beating Sassuolo 4-2 and Lecce 5-1, around a 4-4 draw with Atalanta.

"He is a different player to Kvaratskhelia. Kvara is more creative and always tries to dribble, whereas Kvernadze is more physical and runs non-stop," explained the Frosinone coach.
