The UEFA Champions League has witnessed some of football's most dramatic nights, with several clubs producing remarkable comebacks against seemingly insurmountable odds to keep their European dreams alive. From Liverpool's famous recovery against AC Milan in the 2005 final to Barcelona's historic 6-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, these encounters have become some of the competition's most memorable moments.

Planet Football on Wednesday, ranked its 10 favourite Champions League comebacks of all time, with Barcelona's extraordinary victory over PSG occupying the top spot. Barcelona vs Chelsea (2000) Chelsea appeared to be on course for a historic Champions League semi-final appearance after beating Barcelona 3-1 in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.

However, Barcelona responded with a stunning 5-1 victory at Camp Nou after extra time to progress 6-4 on aggregate. Rivaldo and Luis Figo were instrumental in Barcelona's comeback, while Tore Andre Flo scored for Chelsea to keep their hopes alive before Dani forced extra time.

Rivaldo and Patrick Kluivert subsequently scored to complete Barcelona's remarkable turnaround. Monaco vs Real Madrid (2004) Real Madrid looked comfortable after securing a 4-2 victory over Monaco in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

However, the French side produced a remarkable response in the return leg, winning 3-1 to advance on away goals. Fernando Morientes, who was on loan at Monaco from Real Madrid, played a crucial role by scoring against his parent club.

Ludovic Giuly also scored twice as Monaco eliminated the Spanish giants despite their collection of star players, including Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, David Beckham, Luis Figo and Raul. Chelsea vs Napoli (2012) Chelsea's hopes of reaching the Champions League quarter-finals appeared to be fading after suffering a 3-1 defeat to Napoli in the first leg.

However, Roberto Di Matteo, who replaced Andre Villas-Boas as interim manager, inspired a remarkable recovery at Stamford Bridge. Didier Drogba, John Terry and Frank Lampard scored to take the tie into extra time after Chelsea won 3-1 in regulation time.

Branislav Ivanovic then scored the decisive goal in extra time to secure a 4-1 victory on the night and a 5-4 aggregate triumph for Chelsea. Liverpool vs Barcelona (2019) Liverpool produced one of the greatest comebacks in Champions League history by overturning a 3-0 first-leg defeat against Barcelona with a stunning 4-0 victory at Anfield.

Divock Origi opened the scoring inside seven minutes before Georginio Wijnaldum came off the bench to score twice in quick succession. With the tie level, Origi completed the comeback in the 79th minute after Trent Alexander-Arnold's quick corner caught Barcelona's defence off guard.
