Harry Kane names 'favourites' to win Champions League after Bayern Munich draw vs Arsenal

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has named the favourites to win the 2026/27 Champions League after his team's 2-2 draw with Arsenal. The England captain believes Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are still the team with the best chance to win the trophy.
PSG, who are on course to win the Champions League for the third time in a row, secured an impressive 4-2 win over Barcelona on Tuesday. The Ligue 1 giants beat Bayern Munich in the semi-final of last year's competition, before securing a win over Arsenal on penalties.
Kane scored in both legs of the semi-final against PSG last season, but saw his team lose 5-6 on aggregate. However, he still believes PSG are the favorites since they've won it in back-to-back seasons.
The star striker told reporters: "Paris, of course, winning back-to-back Champions Leagues, they're going to be favourites for it. But we had a great game last year, a really close game against them, another close game against Arsenal here.
We'll have to see, this is just the early start of the season, a long way to go and we'll see what happens come April and May." Notably, Kane grabbed an assist and scored a goal during the draw with the Gunners. He has found the back of the net 10 times this season, while also setting up teammates on seven occasions.
Vincent Kompany delivers verdict on Arsenal and admits 'shame' of conceding late in Champions League clash Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany has labelled Arsenal as a 'strong opponent' after the draw at the Allianz Arena. The Belgian admitted that Bayern enjoyed their moments in the game and described conceding the late equaliser as a 'shame'.
Kompany also revealed that his players felt it was still a winnable game considering the chances they created. He stated: "We're in a phase with so many games right now, you just have to move on to the next game quickly.
We faced a strong opponent, we felt it, we saw it. I think we had our moments.
A few big chances that I didn't think we'd get."
