Harry Maguire named in Premier League Team of the Week

Pundit Alan Shearer has named Manchester United defender Harry Maguire in his Premier League Team of the Week for Matchweek seven. Maguire was selected in a back three alongside Aston Villa's Tyrone Mings and Brighton & Hove Albion's Luka Vuskovic.
The England international was one of United's best performers in Sunday's 1-1 draw against rivals Leeds United at Elland Road. Maguireregistered 11 defensive contributions, one fewer than the highest individual tally in that category during the match.
Meanwhile, only Diogo Dalot completed more line-breaking passes than the centre-back among Man United players. Pundit Jamie Carragher, while reacting to the match on Sky Sports, described the 33-year-old's performance as 'fantastic'.
Head coach Michael Carrick will be hoping Maguire builds on his performance at Leeds as he looks to arrest his side's slow start to the season. The defender is likely to retain his place in the starting XI for Wednesday's Champions League clash against Como, with Lisandro Martinez and Ayden Heaven facing fitness concerns and Leny Yoro suspended.
Maguire could therefore play a crucial role in marshalling United's defence against a Como side that has averaged two goals per game this season. The Mancunian giants head into the fixture off the back of a six-game winless run.
Carrick needs Maguire and other key players to step up and provide the leadership required to secure a positive result against Cesc Fabregas' side. A defeat to Como could make it more difficult for Man United to secure automatic qualification for the knockout phase.
United face a challenging run of fixtures after their clash with Fabregas' side, with Roma, Bayern Munich, Sporting CP, Villarreal and RB Leipzig still to come.
