International break carnage: Some of the Premier League's biggest names have returned with injuries

The international break is almost over, which means the Premier League's long awaited turn from a very long international break, where some nations played four times, is almost upon us. But, the damage of time away may only just be becoming clear for Premier League clubs, and SuperCoach EPL players.
A number of big names have already returned from UEFA Nations League and international duty due to injuries, creating some potentially important selection calls ahead of the resumption of the Premier League season this weekend. Here are the injury updates every SuperCoach EPL player needs to know before locking in their team.
Erling Haaland (Manchester City, Norway) Injury: Unspecified Price: £13,700,000 Possible replacement: Mohamed Belloumi (Hull City - £9,870,000) Haaland asked to be substituted during Norway's 2-1 UEFA Nations League loss to Portugal, just days out from a blockbuster Premier League showdown with rivals Liverpool. The City superstar started but lasted only 67 minutes before signalling to the bench that he needed to come off on Monday (AEDT).
It remains to be seen what the injury is and the severity for Haaland, who leads the Premier League Golden Boot race with give goals in as many games this season but it is one to monitor. Alexander Isak (Liverpool, Sweden) Injury: Thigh Price: £8,820,000 Possible replacement: Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton - £8,770,000) Isak's international break was cut short after picking up a thigh injury in Sweden's 2-1 win over Romania in the Nations League.
The Liverpool forward Isak played the full 90 minutes and scored in the victory, but the "small" problem - in the words of national team head coach Graham Potter - became more apparent afterwards and he was released from the squad before Sweden's remaining three matches. Joao Pedro (Chelsea, Brazil) Injury: Knee Price: £10,390,000 Possible replacement: Antoine Semenyo (Manchester City - £10,630,000) Unlike many of the players on this list, Pedro did not suffer his injury while away with Brazil.
The Chelsea forward was forced to withdraw from Carlo Ancelotti's squad before the international friendly fixtures against the Socceroos and India, after picking up a knee problem, having played the full 90 minutes and contributed a goal and assist in Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Hull City. The problem subsequently kept Pedro out of Chelsea's final match before the international break, and he has been receiving specialist treatment on the knee in London.
Reports have suggested he could face up to four weeks out. It is extraordinary that the three strikers discussed on Football360's pre-season SuperCoach EPL preview as must haves are now all the headline injuries heading into the league's resumption.
Kai Havertz (Arsenal, Germany) Injury: Muscle strain Price: £7,070,000 Possible replacement: Pedro Neto (Chelsea - £7,740,000) It is not what Germany head Jurgen Klopp nor Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wanted to see - Havertz succumbing to injury. Havertz, who is integral to Arsenal's tactics, suffered a muscle strain during Germany's 1-1 draw with the Netherlands, which forced him to leave the national team camp and return to Arsenal.
He has scored three goals this season. Christos Tzolis (Arsenal, Greece) Injury: Hamstring Price: £5,580,000 Possible replacement: Anthony Elanga (Newcastle United - £5,530,000) Greece have been on a role during the international break but it came at a cost as Tzolis hurt his hamstring.
