John Terry Predicts Who Will Win The Premier League Title Between Man City And Arsenal

BACK David Tully Oct 3rd 2026 Ex-Chelsea captain John Terry doesn't believe Man City will still be top of the Premier League table at the end of the season. Enzo Maresca's side went into the international break in 1st place after securing 5 wins from their first 5 games.

However, despite losing comprehensively to Brighton in their last fixture, Terry is backing the current holders to come out on top in thetitle race: "Unfortunately [from a Chelsea perspective], it's going to be Arsenal." Who is the current favourite to win the Premier League? If you go by Opta's numbers, Arsenal are narrow favourites, with the Gunners given a probability of 44.17% to secure consecutive titles.

However, recent results have led to the gap narrowing between the London club and City. Maresca's team are given a 39.89% chance of finishing top of the table heading into gameweek 6.

There really isn't much between the two sides at the moment, although we are still pretty early in the season, and upcoming fixtures will give us a much better picture as to who could clinch 1st. Who will City and Arsenal play after the international break?

Maresca's men have a tricky trip to Anfield next Sunday before a kinder home game against newly-promoted Ipswich Town. Before the next round of international fixtures in November, they will also face Aston Villa (a), Brighton (h) and Nottingham Forest (a).

Arsenal's schedule is probably just as challenging. Mikel Arteta's side take on Leeds at home next Saturday before matches against the likes of Nottingham Forest (a), Everton (h), Liverpool (a) and Hull City (h).

The two teams will face off for the first time at the end of November, when the Cityzens travel to the Emirates to play the reigning champions. Want more news on Man City?
