Wednesday October 7, 2026 Kataka vs SC Villa - BCS Complex, Bukedea 4pm SC Villa coach Zeljko Kovacevic has warned his charges against expecting an easy ride when they visit Kataka in Bukedea on Wednesday as the league returns. Villa, second on the table with 10 points after four matches are nine points ahead of newly promoted Kataka who have one point in three matches.

"I watched them against KCCA and they are a very strong team who have a good defence and good counterattacks," he told the press. "They had like 2-3 chances to score but they missed.

Nevertheless, we shall go there and try to win the game because we want to stay in the top contenders," he added. First choice goalkeeper David Lukwago, defender Geofrey Lubangakene and forward Frank Ssebuufu have only joined the group on the eve of the match but Kovacevic has included them in the squad.

At Hoima City stadium, Kitara host Kigezi Home Boyz with either side targeting their first win of the season. The Royals have only played twice this season due to continental commitments with both matches ending in 1-1 stalemates against both Villa and Express away.

For Kigezi, their only point was against KCCA at Rwamwanja stadium in Kamwenge but come into the game on the back of a 3-0 defeat to SC Villa. There will also be a hunt for maiden maximum points at Kira Road Police Arena where Ntugasaze host Mbarara City in the other game on the day.

The hosts are winless and without a point so far while the Ankole Lions have two points off high flying NEC and Entebbe UPPC. At Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku, wounded Maroons and Lugazi clash seeking a swift reaction following last outing defeats.
