Man City give response to reports over Premier League charges verdicts

Manchester City insist that the process regarding their Premier League charges for alleged financial rule breaches remains "ongoing", with "significant elements" still to be completed. It is understood that a decision on potential sanctions has yet to be reached, with awide range of punishments said to be on the tablefrom substantial fines to points deductions or even possibly expulsion from the Premier League or the retrospective stripping of titles.

Reports claimed that City are expected to appeal against the verdict, which follows a hearing that took place over 12 weeks between September-December 2024. City - who strongly deny any wrongdoing - were initially charged by the Premier League in February 2023, with the alleged financial breaches occurring between the 2009/10 and 2017/18 seasons.
