Manchester City speak on 115 Premier League charges

Spread the word Manchester City chairman, Khaldoon Al Mubarak, has reaffirmed the club's determination to prove its innocence in the Premier League's long-running case involving 115 alleged breaches of financial regulations. Al Mubarak made the statement in a message to City supporters following media reports on Friday concerning the reported outcome of the Premier League's investigation into the allegations.

The chairman acknowledged the concerns generated by the reports but insisted that the club's position had not changed and that the legal process was still ongoing. "The Premier League process still has a long way to run, and our confidence and intent in proving the Club's innocence is just as strong as when this began," Al Mubarak said.

City maintain confidence in legal defence The case has remained one of the most closely watched disciplinary matters in English football, with Manchester City consistently denying the allegations against the club. Al Mubarak said there were several details he would like to share with supporters to explain why the club remains confident in its position, but added that confidentiality rules prevented him from discussing the proceedings in greater detail.

"There are so many things that I would like to be able to share with you to help you understand why we feel so confident in our position," he said. "But the strict confidentiality of the legal process and our determination to respect it means I cannot do that at the moment.

" The chairman, who has led City for 18 years, also urged supporters to consider the club's previous statements on the case rather than draw conclusions from reports circulating in the media. He maintained that Manchester City would continue to respect the legal process while defending its position.

"While some people have been quick to reach their own conclusions, and there is so much noise swirling around us, nothing has changed," Al Mubarak said. "We have faced challenges together before and have prevailed.

There remain many who want to undermine the momentum of our Club. We will not give them that opportunity.

" Al Mubarak turns attention to key fixtures Al Mubarak also sought to redirect attention towards Manchester City's footballing commitments, highlighting two major fixtures awaiting the club after the international break. City are due to travel to Anfield in a fortnight before hosting Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League at the Etihad Stadium.

"We have some exciting moments to look forward to after this international break," he said. "We travel to Anfield in a fortnight, and then host Paris St Germain in the Champions League back at Etihad Stadium - moments that give us an opportunity to celebrate the strength of the Manchester City family.
