17/10/2026 As we head towards the end of 2026, few players have had as much of a glow-up this year as Troy Parrott. Not long ago, Parrott was mainly remembered as a bit of a failure at Tottenham Hotspur, but he rebuilt his career away from the spotlight, first in the Netherlands at AZ, and then earned abig-money moveto Champions League side Real Betis.

He instantly made himself a fan favourite by scoring thewinner against Real Madridwith his first goal for the Andalusian club, and his form for his country has only gotten better and better. Parrott is now one of the more sought-after forwards in Europe, and if he performs well for Real Betis this season, there's no reason the Dubliner shouldn't be in line to join one of the bigger and more prestigious European sides.

And now, according to one report, a Premier League giant is seriously interested in him. According toSport Witness, Manchester United are setting their sights on Troy Parrott and 'are sending scouts' to Seville to watch the Irish star.

Manchester United fans have been clamouring for the club to look at bringing in another striker after their turgid start to the season. Michael Carrick's side have only won twice in all competitions, as tensions boiled over after their most recent defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, with defenderLisandro Martinezcalling out the club's hierarchy.

Current United striker Benjamin Sesko is dealing with a long-term shin issue; meanwhile, Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee hasn't cut the mustard since moving to Old Trafford in 2024, and was linked with a loan move away over the summer.
