Saka will miss the game against Everton. Mikel Arteta has revealed Bukayo Saka's injury resistance has waned.

The coach hinted the Arsenal winger has paid the price for a gruelling fixture calendar. Saka will definitely miss Saturday's game with Everton.

It is thought that Arsenal fear it might be a grade-two rupture thatcould potentially keep him out for up to six weeks. Bukayo Saka had an Achilles injury which troubled him in the second part of last season and during the World Cup, extending a disheartening run of physical problems in recent campaigns.

He has also had hamstring, hip and thigh ailments. Asked if he is not as good as he used to be at handling a hard workload, Arteta alluded to the demands put on players with the current football schedule.

Arteta gave a worrisome update on Bukayo Saka's injury LONDON, ENGLAND - AUGUST 17: Mikel Arteta, Manager of Arsenal, applauds the fans following the team's victory during the Premier League match between Arsenal FC and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC at Emirates Stadium on August 17, 2024 in London, England. He further added: "Obviously the demands that we are putting to every player are immense.

The amount of games, the intensity of those matches, the international competitions, the times as well between games are getting narrower." "So look at us now, we have to play on Sunday afternoon, then we have to go away, we have to play on Wednesday evening, then we have to play on Saturday. So you go less than 66-67 hours between games." "On top of everything that we are putting, every hour is important.

If they can support all the demands that we are putting to the players in that sense, that would be as well really appreciated from everybody." 🚨 Bukayo Saka could be our for minimum 6 weeks as more scans will take place today,@SamiMokbel_BBCreports. Mikel Arteta: "It doesn't look good.

Bukayo has another MRI this afternoon because he had quite a lot of fluid in the area so it was difficult to understand the extent…pic."
