Morocco Set to Welcome the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup In an exciting development for sports enthusiasts, Rabat and Salé, two vibrant cities in the Kingdom of Morocco, have been chosen to host the 10th edition of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup from October 17 to November 7, 2026. This prestigious tournament will feature 24 teams, divided into six groups, as announced in a press release from the ACP on Friday.

The opening match of this much-anticipated event will kick off on October 17, marking the second consecutive time Morocco plays host to this tournament. On the inaugural day, four thrilling matches are scheduled, with two taking place at 15:00 and two more at 18:00.

The host nation, Morocco, is set to face New Zealand at 18:00 in Group A. The first matches of the day will see Germany take on Argentina and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea compete against Puerto Rico, both at 15:00.

Following the Morocco-New Zealand clash, Poland will challenge Nigeria at 18:00. Group Stage and Knockout Rounds The participating teams are organized into six groups of four.

Group A includes Morocco, New Zealand, Germany, and Argentina. Group B features the DPR Korea, Puerto Rico, Poland, and Nigeria.

In Group C, Canada will compete against Brazil, Norway, and Ghana, while Group D consists of Japan, Zambia, France, and Venezuela. Group E has the USA alongside Samoa, Kenya, and China, and finally, Group F packs Spain, Mexico, Australia, and Chile.

At the conclusion of the group stage, the top two teams from each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the knockout stages, ensuring an exhilarating competition format as sixteen teams move on to the round of 16. The semi-finals are scheduled for November 4, with the grand finale taking place on November 7 at the Prince Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, a fitting venue for such a significant event.

The organization of this tournament promises to be efficient and engaging, with matches played daily at two time slots, 15:00 and 18:00, offering fans an exciting schedule of four matches each day. Ticket sales have already commenced, with prices starting at just 20 Moroccan dirhams, and fans can conveniently purchase tickets online via the dedicated platform.
