Moses Usor a major doubt for LASK's Champions League meeting with Liverpool

LASK winger Moses Usor is a major doubt for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League match against Liverpool after suffering a shoulder injury. The Austrian club are due to host the Premier League side at the Raiffeisen Arena in their Matchday Two fixture, but Usor's availability is now uncertain after he was forced off during Sunday's 2-0 home defeat by Rapid Wien.

The 24-year-old Nigeria international is facing a race against time to recover in time for the visit of Liverpool, with LASK head coach Dietmar Kuhbauer providing an update on the winger's condition. "With Mo, it's the shoulder joint that is a bit injured.

I hope it won't take too long," Kuhbauer was quoted as saying by Laola. Kuhbauer also confirmed that another player, George, would miss the match because of a separate injury.

"George appears to have a muscle injury. He definitely won't be available on Wednesday," he added.

Usor's possible absence would be a setback for LASK, who will be looking to make an impact against Liverpool in European competition. The winger has made a productive start to the season, scoring two goals and providing three assists in eight appearances across all competitions.

That form has made Usor an important attacking option for the Black and Whites, although his shoulder problem could now prevent him from featuring in one of the club's most prominent fixtures. LASK will therefore have to wait for further indications on the winger's recovery before deciding whether he can take part in Wednesday's encounter.
