Newcastle United perspective on Premier League fixtures to play out today (31 October 2026)

Looking at these Premier League fixtures on Saturday, in this latest round of matches. Seeing the other games from a Newcastle United perspective.

This ninth round of Premier League fixtures. Yes, your read it right, EIGHT Premier League matches on a Saturday!

Plus, five of them at the old fashioned 3pm kick-off. The only non-Saturday matches this weekend are Liverpool v Arsenal on Sunday and Newcastle United v Everton on Monday.

My conclusions and predictions on the Saturday matches now coming up: Chelsea v Man U (12.30pm) So much money spent by these two clubs with so little return. One of those where I think of who I most want to lose, rather than who I'd want to win.

Man U are a total mess and Chelsea very up and down. A win for Newcastle and Chelsea losing would see United above the Cockneys after this weekend, so I suppose I want Man U to win, probably.

I fancy it will be a draw as Man U will be desperate not to lose. Failing to win would make it nine games in a row without a victory in all competitions for Man U.

The rat Bruno Fernandes restored to the Man U team… Bournemouth v Leeds (3pm) Bournemouth are back on the up and Leeds tend to play very negative. Newcastle winning and Leeds failing to win would see NUFC above them.

I think Bournemouth will win this one comfortably. Brentford v Forest (3pm) A very similar scenario, a win for Newcastle would see them go above Brentford if the Bees don't win here.

I am going for the draw in this one. Coventry vSunderland(3pm) It is 19th plays 20th.
