Newcastle United perspective on Premier League fixtures to play out today (8 November 2026)

Looking at these Premier League fixtures on Sunday, in this latest round of matches. Seeing the other games from a Newcastle United perspective.

This tenth round of Premier League fixtures. There are five Premier League matches today.

My conclusions and predictions on these Sunday matches: Brighton v Brentford (2pm) Brighton are top of the Premier League form table with five wins and one defeat. However, Brentford have only lost one of their last six, even if winning only two of the last half dozen.

Two teams that are good to watch and I think the fact Brighton had a midweek match might help Brentford get a draw. Palace v Liverpool (2pm) Liverpool still don't look convincing this season despite their huge spending in recent times.

Losing to an average Fenerbahce team after having led twice, kind of sums them up. They are though up against a desperate looking Palace who have lost their last three league matches whilst conceding nine goals and scoring none.

Palace did scratch out a 1-0 Carabao Cup win at Fulham recently and I am hoping they might come out battling here on home turf. I hope they might get a point… Ipswich v Bournemouth (2pm) Bournemouth have won their last seven in all competitions and will be big favourites today.

Ipswich though have won two of their four home EPL matches and drawn another. I think the Tractor Boys might get at least a point here, maybe even win.

Sunderland v Chelsea (2pm) Sunderland look on a one-way ticket to the Championship and I think flat-track bullies Chelsea will help them along their way back to the lower leagues. Sunderland have picked up one point from their last six EPL matches and were humiliated at home by Dinamo Zagreb in midweek.

I would be very surprised if Chelsea don't win this by at least a couple. Man U v Villa (4.30pm) Man U are in the relegation zone for very good reason.
