Nottingham Forest get major warning that £12m target might not be ready for the Premier League

Nottingham Forest are going to be in the market for a number of players during the January transfer window. Oliver Glasner told Evangelos Marinakis of his demands prior to the summer window.
He managed to get five new players over the line, and the club ended the window with a squad that is far more streamlined than it was during last season. Marinakis wanted more players signing during the summer, but Glasner was unmoved.
The head coach wants a tight-knit group who can help each other and quickly get accustomed to how he likes to play. Forest have saved funds for Archie Brown but after his latest performance, perhaps they'd be better utilised elsewhere when the window reopens.
Archie Brown drops disasterclass vs Aston Villa The Fenerbahce star is available for around £12 million when the January window reopens. He came through the ranks at Derby, and moving to Forest might annoy the Rams fan base a little bit.
However, Forest have to tread with lots of caution when it comes to the left-back. Brown was given a torrid time against Villa as the Turkish champions went down 6-0 at Villa Park.
Brown scored a lowly 5.5 by SofaScore. He won just three ground duels out of the seven he contested and lost possession a very alarming 15 times during the heavy defeat.

He gets up and down the pitch extremely well, and given that he's naturally a wing-back, that is at least a positive for the Reds to cling onto. Last season, Brown didn't exactly stand out against Forest in the Europa League.
Now, his performance against Villa also throws up some serious issues that the Reds must weigh up before pursuing a January move.
