Villarreal registered an equalizer for the Longhorns (7-2-3, 2-1-2 SEC) in the 68thminute before mounting the game-winner less than 15 minutes later. With the Sooners (9-2-2, 3-2-0 SEC) ahead, 1-0, Villarreal forced the visitors to retreat.

The junior dribbled toward net and created herself a pocket of space inside the box. As Villarreal wound up to fire a shot, the two-time All-SEC selection was tripped.

Following video review, Texas was awarded a penalty kick and the Longhorns' top goal scorer converted her second penalty kick of the campaign Villarreal capped off her second career brace, delivering the go-ahead tally from 13 yards away in the 82ndminute. After she had her first attempt blocked, the Lansing, Mich., native secured the loose ball and rocketed a strike into the top right corner to push Texas in front, 2-1.

The 5-foot-2 midfielder totaled nine of the Longhorns' 20 attempts, with her final shot proving to be the difference. Meanwhile, Texas held Oklahoma to only six tries on target.

The Sooners' lone attempt to sneak past the Longhorns came in the 29thminute. Kate McCallister ripped a shot from outside the box that ricocheted off a defender and into the lower left corner of the cage."
