Official Munich extend Harry Kane's contract until 2029

Bayern Munich have officially confirmed that Harry Kane has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping the England captain at the German record champions until June 30, 2029. Therecent Ballon d'or winner'sprevious agreement had been due to expire at the end of the current campaign.
The announcement brings months of negotiations to a successful conclusion. Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund and Board Member for Sport Max Eberl had beenworking to secure Kane's long-term future, with both the club and player repeatedly expressing their desire to continue their successful partnership.
The extension follows Kane's historic Ballon d'Or triumph in October. The Englishman became the first Bundesliga player to receive the prestigious award since 1996 and the first Bayern player to claim the honour since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in 1981.
Kane has developed into one of Bayern's most influential players since completing his club-record transfer from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023. The striker has scored 156 goals in 161 competitive appearances for the Bavarians, helping the club secure two Bundesliga championships and the 2025/26 DFB-Pokal.
The England international scored 36 Bundesliga goals during his debut campaign in 2023/24, but initially finished without silverware. His second season brought a maiden league championship, while the 2025/26 campaign yielded a domestic double and another European Golden Shoe.
Kane has also finished as the Bundesliga's leading goalscorer in each of his first three seasons in Germany. Despite his remarkable individual accomplishments, the Champions League remains the major club trophy that has eluded him during his time in Munich.
Bayern have now secured the services of their leading striker until shortly before his 36th birthday, providing continuity for head coach Vincent Kompany and the club's sporting leadership. Statements on Harry Kane's extension Kane emphasized his happiness in Munich and his desire to pursue further success under Kompany.
"I feel right at home at Bayern Munich," Kane explained in the club's official announcement. "I love the club, the fans, and the city of Munich.
We have a fantastic team and a fantastic coach in Vincent Kompany. I'm very proud to be part of this club."
