Overview: Bayo Ali and substitute Bedia Ikamba score either side of Ali Ssentamu's equaliser as Police secure victory despite playing the final 27 minutes with 10 men. UPL result - Friday Kataka 1-2 Police Police moved to fifth in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League after edging Kataka 2-1 in Bukedea on Friday.

Bayo Ali put the visitors ahead in the 18th minute, collecting a short free-kick from Rogers Kiwanuka before spotting goalkeeper Ronald Nsubuga off his line and beating him with a long-range effort. Kataka drew level four minutes after the restart through Ali Ssentamu, who converted the rebound after Police goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga had saved his penalty.

Police's challenge became harder in the 63rd minute when Saidi Kyeyune received a second yellow card for a foul on Ivan Bwanika, reducing the visitors to 10 men. However, the numerical disadvantage did not prevent Police from snatching victory.

Substitute Bedia Ikamba struck in the 86th minute, finishing from close range after Charles Bbaale picked him out. Richard Matovu was named man of the match as Police registered their fourth win of the campaign to move to 14 points from nine matches.

Kataka, meanwhile, remain third from bottom of the 18-team table with three points from nine games, still without a league victory this season.
