Having experienced quite the rise over the last few seasons, it has been no surprise to see Troy Parrott already become a popular figure at Real Betis. The Ireland striker had a fast start to life in Seville, scoring winners against both Real Madrid and Lille early on in his spell at the club.

While he has had somewhat of an off period over the last few weeks, he remains a key player for the La Liga club. Troy Parrotthas a big release clause in his Real Betis contract, but that has not stopped a number of clubs being credited with an interest in signing him.

That includes one Premier League giant. Troy Parrott reportedly eyed by Manchester United Manchester United are in quite a bit of trouble at the moment, with their lack of firepower up front a major contributor to their struggles.

Their main man in that area, Benjamin Sesko, has been out all season and is not expected to return until the new year. As a result, they are said to be eyeing potential options to bolster that position in January.

Recommended El Nacional are reporting that Manchester United are considering a bid worth €45million to sign Troy Parrott during winter transfer window. That figure is over double what Real Betis to sign the player from AZ Alkmaar during the summer, forking out €20million to bring him from the Eredivisie.

It remains to be seen if such an offer would tempt the Spanish side. It has previously been suggested that they would be unwilling to sanction a deal for less than the player's €100million release clause at this point.

Despite his some sporadic use of the striker, Manuel Pellegrini is a big fan of the Ireland man and would no doubt be hesitant to lose him midway through the campaign. Troy Parrott included in Ireland squad For now, Troy Parrott will be focusing on rediscovering his form at club level.

He has not scored for Real Betis since early September and has been in and out of the side during that period. He drew a blank once again in the loss to Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night.
