Premier League GW8: Sunday Fixtures Crystal Palace vs Newcastle In one of the 14:00 GMT kick-offs on Sunday, October 25, Crystal Palace hosts Newcastle. Both have struggled for consistency this season, with Newcastle collecting eight points from their first seven games, one more than Palace have collected so far.
The Eagles will take confidence from their midweek draw, 2-2 at Besiktas. Axel Disasi will be back after finishing his three-match domestic suspension last week, following his red card in the 3-2 loss against Ipswich Town.
It remains to be seen if goalkeeper Dean Henderson will return, but Quinten Timber, Jorgen Strand Larsen, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Chadi Riad will be missing. Newcastle boss Matthias Jaissle spoke to the press, where he provided an update on the fitness of Matias Fernandez-Pardo, who had to be substituted in the loss to Aston Villa: "Matias has still some issues health-wise, so he can only train partially.
Hopefully he can make it until the weekend. Then maybe it's the first time that also he gets some minutes.
Discussing the latest on Jacob Ramsey, the Newcastle boss said: We're happy that he's back on the pitch. Also counts the same like the other lads who just returned that we need to take it step by step and have that load management.
Really [so] that we're not taking too much risk. Hull had a dream start to life back in the Premier League, winning their first two games, but are now winless in five league games.
Brentford are again showing what a well run club they are with Keith Andrews in charge. They were unlucky to lose last time out, 2-1 to Liverpool.
Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic hinted at changes in his pre-match press conference, confirming he had more options" going into the weekend game. Nobel Mendy looks likely to be available having returned to training.
