Premier League Postponements Today: Storm Boelo Latest, No Games Off Yet

No Premier League game has been postponed today, but Liverpool v Brighton and Man Utd v Bournemouth (both 2pm UK time) are the two most at risk from Storm Boelo. No pitch inspection has been announced.
Manchester United Last checked: 05:37 GMT, Sunday 25 October. No Premier League game today has been postponed, as of that check.
The two most at risk are Liverpool v Brighton at Anfield and Man Utd v Bournemouth at Old Trafford, both kicking off at 2pm UK time (GMT), because of Storm Boelo and a Met Office wind warning. No pitch inspection has been announced and we haven't found an all-clear.
The clocks went back at 2am, so 2pm is GMT. Its wording: "Storm Boelo will bring a very windy and wet spell this weekend with some disruption likely across parts of northern UK.
A stronger amber warning, also until 21:00 Sunday, covers parts of Scotland and northern England including Lancashire, Blackpool, Cumbria, Durham and Northumberland, but not Merseyside or Greater Manchester. The Evening Standard reported on Yahoo on Saturday that gusts of up to 80mph were forecast for exposed areas, and named both games as the ones most at risk.
Who decides If a pitch inspection is needed, the Evening Standard reported, former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett said the match referee or a locally based official could be asked to assess it. Hackett also said: Everyone will want to avoid a late call off with spectators in the vicinity of the ground.
Everton v Liverpool was called off in December 2024 because of high winds linked to Storm Darragh, as the Evening Standard noted. The rest of today's games Crystal Palace v Newcastle and Hull City v Brentford also kick off at 14:00 UK time, with Sunderland v Leeds at 16:30.
None of the three has an announced problem. The Evening Standard's Saturday report, carried on AOL, said Premier League games remain at risk of postponement this weekend" but singled out Liverpool v Brighton and Man Utd v Bournemouth.
Liverpool v Brighton and Man Utd v Bournemouth are both on Sky Sports. Our guides to the Liverpool v Brighton TV channel and the Man Utd v Bournemouth TV channel have the details.
