PSG Stun Barcelona 4-2 in Champions League Goal Frenzy

Champions League drama exploded again as Paris Saint-Germain edged Barcelona 4-2 in a pulsating clash, with Liverpool, Manchester City and Napoli also claiming thrilling victories amid a night of free-flowing goals. PSG moved top of the league phase with three wins from three, level with Liverpool after their 4-3 success over Villarreal, while Napoli and others also tasted victory.
Désiré Doué opened the scoring in the 38th minute before Xavi Espart levelled for Barcelona early in the second half, only for Lucas Hernández to restore PSG's lead with a 72nd-minute header. Lamine Yamal responded superbly seven minutes later, but Vitinha's precise finish and Fabián Ruiz's late tap-in from Achraf Hakimi's cross sealed the win for the French side.
PSG extended their unbeaten Champions League run to 13 matches with nine wins and four draws, equalling their club record from 2012-14, with Doué named player of the match. Meanwhile, Liverpool recovered from an early 2-0 deficit at Anfield to defeat Villarreal 4-3 and maintain their perfect start, with Georges Mikautadze and Sergi Cardona striking first for the visitors.
Alexis Mac Allister's header and Ronald Araújo's equaliser made it 2-2 before Mac Allister scored again and Florian Wirtz netted the winner, despite Tani Oluwaseyi's late reply. Rio Ngumoha was named Liverpool's player of the match as the Reds stayed on maximum points after another Anfield thriller.
Phil Foden scored a hat-trick as Manchester City secured their second win in emphatic fashion, with Elliot Anderson tapping in early after Enzo Fernández's free-kick hit the bar. Foden doubled the lead before half-time via a one-two with Rico Lewis, Stavros Pilios replied, but Rayan Cherki and two further Foden strikes completed the rout, leaving the Greek side on three points.
Scott McTominay inspired Napoli to a 4-3 victory over Bodø/Glimt for their first Champions League win, with Matteo Politano scoring after just 53 seconds. Jens Petter Hauge and Andreas Helmersen replied, but McTominay's brace, including a header, and an own goal and Sondre Brunstad Fet's late strike, sealed a wild night in Naples, with McTominay the player of the match.
