ScotRail encourages football fans to travel by train to Nations League fixtures

Friday September 25th 2026 Hampden Stadium Written by Midlothian View Reporter, Liam Eunson International football fans heading to Barclays Hampden for Scotland's UEFA Nations League matches are being encouraged to travel by train. The men's national team host Switzerland on Tuesday, 29 September at 19:45, before Slovenia visit the national stadium the following week, on Tuesday, 6 October at 19:45.

To help fans travel to and from the games, ScotRail has confirmed extra carriages and additional services will operate between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida before and after the matches. Mount Florida is just a five-minute walk from the stadium, and customers should travel early and allow plenty of time for entry into the ground.

Regular customers who travel via Mount Florida should be aware services may be busier than usual before each match.
