"Sporting justice will take its course" - Manchester City star's agent speaks out after Premier League's guilty verdict

Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma's agent Enzo Raiola has said that his client is calm about his future at the Etihad amid the Cityzens being allegedly guilty of flouting multiple Premier League financial rules. During the period between 2009 and 2018, City have reportedly been found guilty by an independent commission of over 100 breaches of the Premier League's financial rules.
As per Sky Sports, City are accused of making 'sham' contracts with commercial partners as part of a "disguised funding scheme" to artificially inflate the club's revenues by £830 million. The Premier League club have pleaded their innocence, citing a 'comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence' even as rival clubs are reportedly pushing for stringent punishment if City are found guilty of the alleged financial breaches.
Amid that, the futures of current City players have plunged into doubt. Nevertheless, Raiola told Radio Napoli Centrale (viaCalcioMercato ) that things remain calm for his client who believes that justice will eventually prevail as he focuses on the upcoming games against Liverpool and PSG: "Can the Manchester City chaos change anything?
No, it won't change anything for us or for Gigio. The club has spoken to Gigio, and everyone is calm.
Now there are important matches against Liverpool and PSG, and then sporting justice will take its course. But Gigio has received reassurances from Manchester City.
Enzo Maresca's side are atop the Premier League standings after five games as they seek to win the top flight title for the first time since 2024. The City marksman has scored twice in four UEFA Nations League games during the ongoing international break for Norway, who have lost thrice, including twice to Portugal.
He's been exactly the same as always with the national team," Ajer said about Haaland. "He's truly focused on the upcoming games.
I think he's trying to do the same as everyone else, wait and see what the outcome is - but right now the main focus is Wales tomorrow night. That's clearly been his way of doing it.
The Manchester City marksman has had a rollicking start to the season, scoring seven times in as many games across competitions."
