Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has donated GHS100,000 to the Ghana Amputee Football National Team, the Black Challenge, as they prepare to compete at the 2026 Amputee Football World Cup in Mexico. The award-winning musician visited the team during a training session at Mensah Sarbah Park on the University of Ghana campus.

He spoke to the players, offered encouragement ahead of their tournament campaign and then presented the financial contribution. This is a token from me and the Burna Boy Music Group.

This is not much at all, but I know it will go a long way to support the group, Stonebwoy said. He also appealed for further financial assistance for the team, stressing the importance of ensuring the players have the resources required to represent Ghana internationally.

"We need funds directed to the Amputee team so that they can continue to perform because these are people's fathers, uncles and our own brothers, and they're representing the nation," he added. Stonebwoy praised Samson Deen, the President of the National Paralympic Committee of Ghana, for his work with the team and his commitment to supporting the players.

"I want to say thank you to the President of NPC Ghana, President Samson Deen, a great man. He has carried a lot on his shoulders, and may God continue to open his wings and bless him so he can continue to make people happy," Stonebwoy said.
