Surprise Man United star has recorded the second fastest speed in the Premier League this term

Manchester United forward Bryan Mbeumo ranks second in the Premier League this season for a key statistic, it has emerged. Slow start United have endured a sluggish start to the season, with the club currently sitting in 12th place.

The Red Devils have managed a meagre five points from the five games they have played. United have recorded just one victory in that run, a 5-2 thrashing of Ipswich Town at Old Trafford.

The performances have been a source of considerable concern, with United in particular appearing to struggle for energy and inspiration. Defensive frailties have likewise been a cause for concern.

After the 1-1 draw with Fulham at Craven Cottage just before the international break, Michael Carrick downplayed suggestions that his players are not giving it their all. He stressed that he was pleased with the application of his squad, notwithstanding figures indicating that United run the least and work the least hard on the ball among Premier League clubs.

After Mbeumo, the fastest United player is Luke Shaw (34.43 km/h). He is followed by Benjamin Sesko (34.26 km/h), Marcus Rashford (33.34 km/h) and Joshua Zirkzee (33.1 km/h).
