This is how many Premier League managers had been sacked by this point last season

Still no Premier League managers sacked yet this season. Surely only a matter of time… Fact is though that we have now incredibly got past fireworks night and yet still none of the 20 Premier League managers getting a rocket, as yet.

This weekend sees the tenth round of league matches then followed by an international break. Always a popular time for sacking Premier League managers with a bit of time to appoint a replacement before the league games resume.

As you can see below, by this time last year four had already been sacked. The quartet of Premier League managers who had lost their jobs by 6 November 2025 were Nuno, Graham Potter, Ange Postecoglou and Vitor Pereira.

Former Brighton boss Potter sacked by West Ham, whilst incredibly, the opening two months of the 2025/26 season saw Nottingham Forest sack two! To add a further level of disbelief, seven of the Premier League managers to be sacked during the 2025/26 season exited from only three clubs.

In total, eleven Premier League managers were sacked during last season (with their replacements in brackets): 9 September 2025 - Nuno leaves Forest (Ange Postecoglou) 27 September 2025 - Graham Potter leaves West Ham (Nuno) 18 October 2025 - Ange Postecoglou leaves Forest (Sean Dyche) 2 November 2025 - Vitor Pereira leaves Wolves (Rob Edwards) 1 January 2026 - Enzo Maresca leaves Chelsea (Liam Rosenior) 5 January 2026 - Ruben Amorim leaves Man U (Michael Carrick) 11 February 2026 - Thomas Frank leaves Spurs (Igor Tudor) 12 February 2026 - Sean Dyche leaves Forest (Vitor Pereira) 29 March 2026 - Igor Tudor leaves Spurs (Roberto de Zerbi) 22 April 2026 - Liam Rosenior leaves Chelsea (Caretaker boss for rest of season) 30 April 2026 - Scott Parker leaves Burnley (Caretaker boss for rest of season) The last 15 months have seen Nottingham Forest with five different managers (Nuno, Postecoglou, Dyche, Pereira, Glasner) and if they lose against Manchester City on Saturday… Forest are only kept off rock bottom by one point and Sunderland, Oliver Glasner must be wondering if the trigger happy owner will resist the urge for much longer. Yet Glasner is only fifth most fancied to be the first of the 2026-27 Premier League managers to lose their jobs.

Michael Carrick remains favourite despite the lucky win in Europe this midweek, then Pierre Sage at Palace, Regis Le Bris and his team booed off last night by the handful of Mackems that still remained as they embarrassingly lost at home to Dinamo Zagreb only days after the Sunderland manager got the dreaded vote of confidence, then Matthias Jaissle at United. Premier League table on the morning of Friday 6 November 2026 A defeat this weekend for any of the Premier League managers most at risk, could see them reach the tipping point.

Those most at risk have these games that are to be played in this order at the weekend: Fulham v Newcastle United Forest v Man City Palace v Liverpool Sunderland v Chelsea Man U v Villa I suppose it would be timely as well, seen as Nuno was the first of the Premier League managers sacked last season and recent days have seen him given the push by West Ham.
