Tottenham Hotspur are in the mix to land this Bundesliga midfielder

In a recentreport, journalist Graeme Bailey stated that Tottenham Hotspur are in the mix to land Bayer 04 Leverkusen midfielder Ibrahim Maza. It has been mentioned that Spurs would have to compete with Arsenal in the race to sign the Algerian attacker next year.

Maza's Impressive Form In The Bundesliga Maza has enjoyed a good run of form at the German club in the campaign so far as he has put in a few eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The 20-year-old has scored one goal and secured two assists in five matches for Bayer 04 Leverkusen this season across all competitions.

The Algerian talent is currently among the most talented central midfielders in the Bundesliga. Hence, Spurs would do well to get a deal done for him next year.

His current contract at the German club will expire in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for Tottenham to sign him on a cut-price deal this January or at the end of this campaign. Maza doesn't mind working hard for his side defensively when needed. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and has the vision to engineer some inviting chances for others around him in the final third.

The Algerian sensation is a good dribbler with the ball as well and can contribute by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team. Maza is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also serve as a box-to-box midfielder or as a centre-forward if asked to do so.

However, only time will tell whether he can adapt to the physical style and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to land him next year. We can expect Maza to bring more quality and depth to Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi's frontline.

He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. At 20, Maza has the potential to be a future star in English football.
