Tresoldi hat‑trick fuels Club Brugge's 4‑3 Champions League win over Inter Milan

News Nicolo Tresoldi's three‑goal performance lifted Club Brugge to a 4‑3 victory against Inter Milan in a seven‑goal Champions League thriller. Nicolo Tresoldi scored a hat‑trick as Club Brugge beat Inter Milan 4‑3 in a Champions League match that gave the Italian side its fourth straight defeat in the competition, a first in its history.
The Belgian side opened the scoring in the 30th minute after referee Rohit Saggi awarded a penalty, which Tresoldi converted by placing the ball into the top‑right corner. Inter captain Lautaro Martinez equalised just before halftime, netting his first Champions League goal since November 2025 to make it 1‑1 at the break.
Early in the second half a goalkeeping mistake by Inter's Josep Martinez allowed Tresoldi to score his second, finishing into an unguarded net after the keeper rushed out and missed the ball. Tresoldi completed his hat‑trick eleven minutes later, reacting quickest to a rebound from another Martinez save and powering the ball into the bottom corner to put Brugge 3‑1 ahead.
Inter fought back, with Martinez reducing the deficit to 3‑2 in the final ten minutes after capitalising on a loose ball in the box. Club Brugge restored a two‑goal cushion three minutes from time when Romeo Vermant scored, extending the lead to 4‑2.
Inter's substitute Ange‑Yoan Bonny pulled a late goal in the 93rd minute, cutting the margin to 4‑3 after a cut‑inside move and a finish into the far corner. Despite the late pressure, Club Brugge held on for the win, with Tresoldi's three‑goal display cited as the decisive factor.
