Unreal Premier League transfer battle is coming, Liverpool must strike first

2027 could be a genuinely insane transfer season. We're all waiting to see what happens with Manchester City, for one, and there may well be a free-for-all for their stars -ifthey're relegated (or worse).

Article continues under the video But there's another factor in play. City will almost certainly face some sort of transfer ban or relegation or fine or some other reason they're unable to compete properly in the transfer market and that means one heavyweight, arguablytheheavyweight, are out of the equation.

Thus other clubs simply must go all-out while they can. This could just be a temporary fall for City, after all, so get in on transfers while they can't compete.

And that's why Liverpool have got to strike first in one of the Premier League's biggest growing sagas. The Brighton fight Brighton have spent a decade being an up-and-coming team by now, consistently selling stars, replacing them with young players, then developing those players into stars they can sell.

It's been an incredible cycle and one that's paid dividends. They currently look like the best team in the league, quite honestly, and it's on the back of a summer transfer window where they inexplicably landed some of Europe's top young talent.

How they got Luka Vuskovic, for instance, is beyond anyone. Chema Andres is another with an enormously bright future.

Maxim De Cuyper is showing his full potential. We know Liverpool rate Yankuba Minteh very highly, while they've got a few forwards who look like potential superstars.

We've also pointed out in the pasthow Diego Gomez is a player we love. Basically, Brighton have a ridiculous squad of young players right now.

All of them are demonstrating immense Premier League quality, too, and there is destined to be a transfer attack on them from every major club this summer. But the Seagulls aren't selling their whole squad.
