Victor Osimhen told to leave Galatasaray for the Premier League

Victor Osimhen is currently on the books of Galatasaray, but he has been told his services are needed in the Premier League. Former Napoli star Diego Demme has expressed his desire to see Victor Osimhen leave Galatasaray for the Premier League or the Spanish top flight.
Osimhen currently plies his trade in Turkey with the Turkish champions, having initially joined the club on loan from Napoli in 2024 before signing a four-year deal worth €75m the following season. The Super Eagles star has enjoyed two successful seasons at the club, winning back-to-back league titles and finishing as the Turkish Super Lig top scorer in one of those campaigns.
Osimhen has also developed a strong bond with the Lions fans, who have treated him like a demigod since his arrival. However, despite the love and success he has enjoyed since arriving in Turkey, Demme insists he would like to see his former teammate leave Galatasaray for one of Europe's elite leagues.
The German-Italian star, who was a teammate of Osimhen when Napoli won the Serie A title in the 2022-2023 season, revealed in an interview that the Super Eagles star's talent deserves to be seen in the Premier League or LaLiga. "I think Osimhen is very happy in Galatasaray because he likes the fans and they like him, but I still want to see him play for one of the biggest clubs in Europe in a league like La Liga or the Premier League.
I think he has to do it, because he's a really good striker, and he'd have more visibility than he currently has in Turkey," Demme told Ratings. Osimhen has been linked with a move away from Galatasaray in recent years, with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Barcelona all reportedly interested in signing the Nigerian star at different times.
However, the Nigerian star has always stayed loyal to Galatasaray, citing the fans as one of the reasons he would never leave the club. It now remains to be seen if the ex-Lille star will heed his former teammates' call in the January transfer window or next summer window.
A move away from Galatasaray will cost potential suitors, though, as Osimhen still has three years left on his contract with the Turkish champions.
