WATCH: Kadeisha Buchanan scores in Chelsea Women's Champions League win over Roma

Kadeisha Buchanan doesn't score often, but she sure found a big goal on Wednesday in the UEFA Women's Champions League. Buchanan scored late for Chelsea in their 2-0 win over Roma on Wednesday evening, heading home a cross from a set piece to put the game out of reach.
The English side opened the scoring in the 51st minute through Ellie Carpenter, but the Italians - whose backline included Maya Antoine with fellow Canadian Ella Ottey watching from the bench - held strong to keep themselves in the game. Buchanan's late goal made it 2-0 to lock in the three points and move Chelsea to the top of the UWCL table.
Their 2-1-0 record leaves them top of the pile on seven points, but 2-0-0 Barca are expected to continue their perfect start on Thursday when they play HB Koge. Vanessa Gilles returned to the Bayern Munich starting lineup after dealing with an injury recently.
Thankfully she was back at her natural centre-back position and not at goalkeeper, likeshe was asked to play last Fridayafter Bayern's goalkeeper had been sent off after the club used up all of their subs. Gilles went 45 minutes for Bayern in a 2-2 draw with Real Madrid before coming off at halftime.
Athenea del Castillo scored seven minutes in for the visitors and Lineth Beerensteyn doubled their advantage before Edna Imade pulled one back for Bayern on the half-hour mark. Momoko Tanikawa scored seven minutes after halftime as the German giants settled for a draw with their Spanish counterparts when neither side could find a third to win the match in the remaining 40 minutes.
Olivia Smith's Arsenal and Ashley Lawrence's OL Lyonnes are also in action in the later timeslot on Wednesday, playing Benfica and Inter Milan, respectively. Thursday's UWCL action sees two Canadians square off when Florianne Jourde's Paris Saint-Germain visit Jade Rose and Manchester City.
Evelyne Viens' Paris FC are also in action, hosting Swedish giants BK Häcken.
