Where Roberto De Zerbi ranks among Premier League's highest paid managers with £8m Tottenham contract

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi is reported to be earning a higher salary than David Moyes, Michael Carrick, and Frank Lampard after taking charge at Spurs last season. Tottenham Hotspur are no strangers to managerial changes, having hired and dismissed several coaches over the past two decades.

Under former chairman Daniel Levy, it became a recurring theme, with Spurs appointing and sacking 15 managers, including Europa League winner Ange Postecoglou. Spurs Web recently reported that Tottenham rank second among the clubs to have spent the most on managers, with the north London side paying out £66.5 million in compensation to departed coaches - second only to Chelsea, who have spent over £100 million.

Thomas Frank replaced Postecoglou but lasted only seven months before being dismissed after a poor run of form that left Tottenham hovering near the bottom of the league. Igor Tudor followed but survived just over a month before being replaced by Roberto De Zerbi, who signed a five-year deal at Spurs.

MORE SPURS STORIES A new report from Express has now revealed where De Zerbi ranks among the Premier League's highest paid managers. The Tottenham boss comes in seventh, earning £8 million per year - placing him above several notable names.

The Lilywhites sit bottom of the Premier League after five winless games, and although De Zerbi is eager to turn things around, failure to do so could prove costly. Spurs Web relayed comments from Borsen, who revealed how much sacking De Zerbi would cost Spurs: "Well, it won't be cheap.

Most of these managers receive a six-to-12-month termination. I would think De Zerbi is on 12 months at least."
