Why did Benjamin Sesko miss Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Premier League 2026-27 clash?

The Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko sat out the game against Spurs. Manchester United took on Tottenham Hotspur in a Matchday 6 fixture of the Premier League 2026-27 at Old Trafford on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

The Red Devils were the heavy favourites against Spurs, who sat at the bottom of the league table. The hosts were winless in their previous three games, having played out a 1-1 draw with Fulham in their last outing.

Michael Carrick will be desperate for his side to return to winning ways against an out-of-form Spurs side. However, he was dealt a big fitness blow ahead of the match.

Benjamin Sesko, who joined Manchester United from RB Leipzig last season, was ruled out of the match with an injury, leaving Carrick short of options against Spurs.
