Why did Joshua Kimmich miss Bayern Munich vs Arsenal UEFA Champions League 2026-27 clash?

Joshua Kimmich's absence was a big blow for Die Roten. Bayern Munich hosted Arsenal in a crucial league phase clash in the UEFA Champions League 2026-27 at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.

The German giants have one of the strongest squads in all of Europe, but they are missing several big players. Jamal Musiala will miss the upcoming game due to an injury issue, while defender Kim Min-jae and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer are also doubtful.

Meanwhile, Michael Olise remains suspended after being sent off in the previous continental game. Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany has been dealt a further team selection blow, with influential midfielder Joshua Kimmich also ruled out for the clash against the Gunners.

The German international will not be part of the Bundesliga side's squad for the match.
