Wilberforce Strikers continued their impressive start to the Sierra Leone Premier League season with a convincing 3-1 victory over defending champions Bo Rangers at the MK3/10 Field in Angola Town to go top of the league. The hosts took the lead in the 10th minute when captain Mohamed Bangura converted from close range, rewarding Wilberforce's early attacking pressure.

Wilberforce maintained their intensity and doubled their advantage in the 33rd minute. Osman Kargbo finished clinically after a well-timed assist from Paul Sesay to put the home side firmly in control.

Bo Rangers responded in the 43rd minute with a spectacular long-range effort that gave the Wilberforce goalkeeper no chance, offering the defending champions hope of a comeback. However, Wilberforce restored their two-goal advantage in first-half stoppage time.

Santhainahaj Bangura found the net in the 45+1 minute to send the hosts into the break with a commanding 3-1 lead. The second half produced chances at both ends, but neither side managed to score again.

Wilberforce defended resolutely and threatened on the counter-attack, while Bo Rangers pushed forward in search of a way back into the contest. Despite their efforts, the defending champions could not break through the hosts' defence as Wilberforce held on to secure an important victory.

Captain Mohamed Bangura was named Man of the Match after opening the scoring and delivering an influential performance, combining leadership with precise passing. The result marks another significant statement from Wilberforce Strikers, who have now collected six points from their opening two matches.

Wilberforce top the Sierra Leone Premier League table with six points from two matches.
