Women's soccer falls to Navy on Saturday

- Three unanswered goals from Navy would prove to be the difference as the Holy Cross women's soccer team fell 3-1 to the Mids on Saturday, Oct. The Crusaders fall to 5-5-2 overall and 1-2-1 in Patriot League play while Navy improves to 10-4-1 overall and 2-1 in league play.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Senior midfielderAdi Botetfound junior forwardAva Grahamin the box, who headed the ball into the left side of the net in the 26th minute. Navy tied the match in the final minute of the first half when a loose ball in the box found the back of the net off a goal by Helen Bonner.
Holy Cross held an 8-2 advantage on shots and a 3-1 edge in shots on goal through the first half. Navy took its first lead of the match in the 58th minute when Chiara Cosenza sent a high, booming shot into the back of the net.
The Mids doubled its lead just two minutes later following a mad dash across the pitch with a Jessica Black redirect into the back of the net. INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: The Crusaders held a 18-8 advantage in shots and an 10-4 lead in shots on goal Holy Cross led 7-1 on corners while Navy led 8-1 in save attempts.
